To be eligible for this prestigious fellowship, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

Citizenship and Residency: Applicants must be Bangladeshi citizens and reside in Bangladesh during the application and selection process.

Dual Citizenship and US Permanent Residency: Individuals with dual citizenship (Bangladesh and US) or US permanent residency are not eligible to apply.

Passport Validity: Applicants should possess a valid passport that remains valid at the time of application.

Leadership Professionals: The fellowship is open to young and mid-level professionals with a proven track record of exemplary work in public service and the potential for career advancement.

Recent Graduates: Individuals who have recently completed their university degrees are not eligible to apply.

Education: Applicants must have successfully completed at least four years of full-time education at a university and hold a certificate of completion.

Work Experience: A minimum of five years of full-time work experience in the relevant field after obtaining a university degree (prior to August 2023) is required. Candidates should also demonstrate a strong interest in policy aspects within their field of study and work.

Prior US Graduate School Attendance: Individuals who have attended a US graduate school for one academic year or more within the seven years prior to August 2023 are ineligible for this fellowship.

Duration of Stay in the USA: Applicants who have spent more than six months in the USA within the five years prior to August 2023 are not eligible.

English Proficiency: Proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential, with a minimum TOEFL score of 525 (paper-based) or 71 (internet-based). Candidates with expired TOEFL scores will be required to retake the test at the end of the selection process.

Successful fellows are expected to return to Bangladesh after completing the program, utilizing the knowledge and skills gained to contribute to the development and progress of their home country.
